Indian plant Manitou Group in Russia came the first backhoe loaders Gehl GBL818S

In may 2018 was supplied to Russia in the first six cars Gehl GBL818S produced at the plant Manitou Group in India. By 2020, the company plans to start deliveries in Russia of three new models.

The plant is located in greater Noida near Delhi. The company area 14,000 square meters, acquired by Manitou Group in June 2017, produces five models of excavators-loaders (GBL740S, GBL818S, GBL818, GBL844, GBL844S) and one model of mini skid steer loader. Annual production capacity – 1 400 cars. At the moment made of about 400 machines.

Equipment supplied to the domestic market and also exported to the countries of Africa, Asia and Latin America. In Russia comes GBL818S Gehl – backhoe loader, equipped with diesel Perkins engine with a capacity of 92 HP and a multi-purpose bucket “7 in 1”, telescopic handle and  attachments. The model will be presented at the exhibition “STT”.

“In 2018 we plan to deliver from the Indian plant Manitou Group in Russia about 200 Gehl GBL818S. Expect in the first year of this model is about 10% of the Russian market of excavators. To improve the quality of products and expanding range of equipment the company has invested heavily in a plant in India. Until 2020 it is planned to launch production of backhoe loaders with different wheels, as well as the development of the two models in the family of mini skid steer loaders.All these innovations will be supplied to Russia”, – said Eugene Prokopenko, sales Manager construction and industrial equipment.
