Hennessey published the characteristics and photos of the 1600-horsepower Venom F5 engine

At the SEMA event, which took place in November last year, Hennessey presented a limited hypercar Venom F5, under the hood which was located 1600-horsepower engine. Today, the company published his official photos and told about him new details.

Earlier, foreign automotive publications reported that under the hood of the car is Biturbo “eight” volume of 7.4 liters. Later it was reported that the volume of the engine will bring up to eight liters, but, as it turned out, the real volume of the unit is 7.6 liters, and its power is just the same 1,600 forces at 7,200 rpm.

The turbines of this monster develop a pressure of 1.6 bar, the compression ratio of the mixture is 9.3: 1, the torque reaches 1762 Nm at 4,400 rpm. The motor is made of aluminum with steel sleeves, power to the wheels is transmitted through a robotic two-disc gearbox.

The engine is configured to run on Shell V-Power® NiTRO+ Premium fuel, lubricating properties are provided by Pennzoil Platinum 10w-60 oil. It is worth noting that these two companies are the exclusive partners of the American tuning Studio.

The head of the company John Hennessy said that this car next year will try to set new records. It is expected that Venom F5 will be able to accelerate to 482 kilometers per hour.

Such figures the company will try to achieve thanks to the new chassis, that is, the company no longer plans to use the upgraded “truck” Lotus, which formed the basis of Venom GT. The company also actively worked on the aerodynamics of the hypercar, reducing the level of drag to 0.33 Cx.

By the way, the actual Hennessey Venom GT on the runway Space center Kennedy accelerated to 435.3 kilometers per hour.

In total, the company will release 24 copies of the F5, and buyers have already ordered 15 cars, each worth 1.6 million dollars.
